Again email to SCT, sent necessary info for reconstruct of stock file. Hooked tuner to truck and tried to return to stock, "No Stock File". X3 comes up "Incorrect Vehicle", emailed SCT, got instructions of how to fix, incredibly hard to get damn thing going again. Got some new wheels/tires and decided I'd change the REVS/MILE setting. I used the "new" software from SCT to automatically update my unit. I'm with you brother.my tuner had been working fine for sometime. Scepticle of this ? I BLAME MYSELF for tinkering with an amazing running machine. Eventually the will blame it on your 'faulty' ECM (truck computer) that was running perfectly before they abandone you and no longer take your calls. SCT dismall customer support will eat your time like Washington eats our tax dollars. BECAUSE THE UNIT CAN NOT RETURN THE TRUCK TO STOCK. If you DO DECIDE to update your firmware and perform a tunes download I suggest you be sitting outside a FORD service garage. Most of their dealers will give you a heads up to this and advise you DO NOT UPDATE your firmware. It seems SCT is having 'firmware issues' in their products. With your device connected, open your computers Device Manager. If you installed the SCT device updater before you plugged the device in then this should be easy to fix. Although I am sure there are 1000's of users who have successfuly used this with good results just beware of what can happen. Shortly, thereafter, the diagnostic software SCT begins testing of the CPU and attached hardware. Download the appropriate file above, unzip the 'Kenard 圆4' Folder and just save it to your desktop. ![]() ![]() Truck running great?
